As part of ongoing Thermal-Copier machine maintenance, every 5 years the major control components require replacement to ensure correct operation.

This major service kit for the A4 Thermal-Copier replaces parts commonly worn or damaged after 5 years of usage, as normal operation of the machine will wear the control PCB contact switches.
What may occur if you don't replace the worn parts?
Pictured right is a worn PCB control switch, you can see the black contact points at the top of the casing caused by long term build up of carbon deposits resulting from sparking as the points release after use. That's the clicking sound you can often hear as the machine turns the lamp off.
Continued use of worn/ old parts may result in the contact points not releasing after use, causing the machine to remain active - yes turned on.
Without automatic turn off, if unattended the ongoing heat may result in melting of the rear roller and for long periods when the roller jams due to excessive heat, a smouldering fire may begin as the rear roller melts to the glass.
Whilst this depicts a worse case scenario, it has occurred after 5+ years and no machine maintenance.
The continued use of worn parts is against the manufacturers maintenance schedule and machine operation. Liability for any damages is the consumers responsibility for failure to performing the advised major service.

The above conditions have been instigated due to fraudulent claims by customers for transport damage following improper installation/ handling of the product. If you are not qualified to install the spare part, you are unable to attempt install, break the part and claim a return/ credit.
