Retarder Additive | Thinner for Fabric Ink | 125ml resealable bottle
Retarder stops ink drying in the screen whilst printing.
AquatexSKU: FI-R125
Retarder is the most commonly used additive, mixed into all ink types to increase the wetness of the ink and avoid ink drying in the screen whilst printing (common with opaque inks).
Adding a few drops of Retarder into Aquatex ink, stops the ink from drying in screens - suitable for use in humid/ hot climates.
Retarder is a thinning additive. Why not just use water - water will dilute the pigment by thinning the pigments - Retarder maintains the pigment colour levels.
Retarder is formulated to work within the structure of the base, without distorting the pigmentation level and finished colour.
- Does not dilute pigmentation when added
- Extends/ retards the drying time of Aquatex inks making them more workable
- Adding Retarder will also increase the touch drying time of wet ink after printing
Usage
2-3 drops as required.
Stir well after adding and before next use.
